Welcome to Child Nutrition

The Mission for Child Nutrition is ~ To provide attractive and nutritious meals at an affordable price in a clean, friendly, and inviting environment for all students in New Hanover County Schools.

The child nutrition department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to  students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong  nutrition.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet  the health and nutrition needs of students.

Child Nutrition Donations - Help feed a student in need! A hungry child can't learn, and many families in our own community are experiencing financial difficulties. You can donate to pay off meal debt for a specific student, for a specific school or to the general fund. 

NHCS utilizes K12Payment Center for all donations.  To contribute your donation to NHCS please click on the link below. You may complete your donation as a guest. Checks may also be mailed to the Child Nutrition Department, attention Susan Sarkisian at 1805 South 13th Street Wilmington, NC 28401
